I absolutely COULD NOT go into 2020 without reviewing Tarryn Fisher's new suspense novel, The Wives. The storyline will have you hooked and the twist will leave your mind reeling for days after. A perfect five star read!
The Wives follows Thursday, a doting wife who wants nothing more than to spend time with her husband, Seth. Unfortunately, Seth has three reasons that he's away from home more often than not, and that's his work and his two other wives. You see, Seth is a polygamist and although this isn't the marriage Thursday dreamed of as a young girl, she has become the wife she believes that Seth needs when he's with her on their day of the week.
As for the other two wives, Thursday does everything she can to keep them out of her head. She doesn't need to worry if they're prettier, more domesticated, or more sexually driven. That is, until she finds a piece of evidence that leads her to the name of one of Seth's wives. That piece of evidence leads Thursday to start her own investigation into the other wives, eventually causing her to question everything she knows about Seth and their arrangement. What's at the end of her investigation? Be prepared for the psychological whiplash that follows the ending you never saw coming!
