Colleen Hoover was one of the first authors that sucked me in and held me so tight that reading her books became somewhat of an addiction. I still stalk her Facebook page and count down the days until new releases, so it's fitting that the first book review on this blog belongs to her most recent release, Regretting You.
Regretting You follows a mother and daughter that in the beginning, have the typical push and pull mother-daughter relationship. Due to a life-changing event, this mother and daughter must navigate their way through uncharted waters and learn to love each other, even through the worst of circumstances. Colleen Hoover mixes together the perfect amount of drama, romance, and suspense to create a story that you are sure to think about long after the story is over.
Excerpt:
"I wonder if humans are the only living creatures that ever feel hollow inside.
I don't understand how my body can be full of - bones and muscles and blood and organs - yet my chest sometimes feels vacant, as if someone could scream into my mouth and it would echo inside of me."
